LOL I heard a funny story on a Love and Logic video not too long ago. The parents used an empathetic statement each time their son got a time out – “Uh, oh, guess ___ needs some bedroom time. That’s so sad.” It worked so well with the son, they decided to try it on their dog, who loved to bark at the washing machine. Each time Moonshine barked, they would say, “Uh oh, guess Moonshine needs some kennel time. That’s so sad.” This went on until the dog realized she was not supposed to bark at the washer. One day, the little boy was sitting at the table working on a puzzle. He messed up and went “Uh oh.” Moonshine, who was lying beside his feet, ran to the kennel. LOL I just thought that was too cute.
Aw, there’s that sad face again. Poor Murphy. It’s guess it’s just too hard to be good all the time!
