Before I post some more pictures, I want to say this: if you go to a Faerie Festival, you expect to have your photo taken. It’s what people do: take photos. It’s why we dress up: to have our picture taken.
Also – while there is not explicit nudity in any of these photos, there is implied – well, you take it from there. So if you’re sensitive to that particular dress code (or lack thereof), please do not continue. If not, I promise there’s really nothing terribly obscene to follow. Weird and borderline and definitely WRONG, but not obscene.
I have a few faeries I managed to miss up to this point:
Guess which one is moi.
I’m very, very orange. The Orange Ade faerie Godmother.
So. I almost hate to do this because my intent is not to make fun of people. It’s the get-ups that are outrageous. I know nothing of the people except there they were, in broad daylight, flitting among thousands of other people, dressed as they were.
You’ve already seen the Barbarians. Now come the final Bad Faeries of the day…
Drum roll, please.
Third Runner Up.
I was trying to get a snap shot of this Faerie’s wings. He kept moving. So Chrystal volunteered to tap him on the shoulder and ask him to pose. Wrong move. He wanted to pose all right.
He caught her off guard and all she could do was laugh with embarrassment.
He wouldn’t pose so I could get his wings.
He looked like he was going to share his wine with her, so I cautioned him that she was a minor. He graciously held the bottle out of the photo for this snap.
But Chrystal said it didn’t matter: she could get drunk just on his breath.
He told us where we could find more photos of “pretty male faeries.”
I told Chrystal I was going to blow this up and give it to her boyfriend.
Continue with the drum roll, please.
Second Runner Up:
Want a closer look?
Of HIM, not HER. I leave her to your imagination.
I would probably have left them out of the gallery, except they’re frowning.
Maybe it was the sun.
But, come on – if you’re dressed up, you expect to have your picture taken, so smile already.
People notice smiles. Really. But I don’t think anyone is going to offer to hug him to make him feel happy.
Really.
First Runner Up was smiling:
I think. He might be grimacing. Not sure.
I confess, it was his boots I noticed first. He’s got on those big boots that faeries seem to like.
Bet you noticed that, too.
There was a tie for First Place. It was really difficult to choose First Place.
My first choice would never look at the camera. The second choice I didn’t want to look at the camera.
I saw a lot of my first choice. In a lot of ways…
It’s the boots that get to you, isn’t it? Those darn Faerie Boots. And the striped socks.
And the electrical tape.
He was everywhere. Pretty busy Faerie.
Are you ready for the last one? You can stop here.
I’m still not sure I should post this one. But, she was there. She was in public. She was really dressed like this.
Let me know which one you vote for.

Jaci,
This festival looks like lots of fun! Too bad we don’t have something like this where I live.
Kandy
First of all…love the picture of you!
The guy posing with Chrystal should work on his abs before the next faire. Otherwise, he’s pretty hot. 😉
And no, it isn’t the boots I notice first.
The last one, well, what can I say? I worry a little about whether my arms are too chubby for sleeveless tops so I in awe of her…what’s the word I want?…chutzpah? Brave woman.
Hey, Jaci! I nominated you for an award. Check out my blog to read about it and claim your award.

Chutzpah is right. And I have to admit, I was kind of in awe of her, too. Takes a lot more guts than I have!
🙂
UGH! That guy posing as a pin cushion just makes me cringe! I have completely enjoyed looking at all of the faeries, thanks for posting them.
So was that chick really topless? It was hard for me to tell what she had on top, if anything.
I just have to say again how beautfiul Chrystal is.
Loved your outfit, wish we could’ve seen your face under the mask.
I’ve loved looking at all these faerie pictures, and I think that little katydid really was a faerie…..came to thank you for all the faerie publicity : )
It looks like a really interesting fair. Certainly great for people watching. Ran across this today and wondered if it was the same fair:

Okay, I’m gay, so at first I thought the blue guy wearing fishnets and a speedo might be hot… then I enlarged the photo. Oh, girl, we have some work to do! First, a get-up like that does not go with FLAT hair. You need BIG hair, sister! I’m thinking something Flock-of-Seagulls-esque. Then, what’s with the leather-over-speedo look? Leather: hot. Speedo (or faerie equivalent): hot. Leather and speedo together: NOT HOT! Finally, the boots. Goddess! What evil spirit decreed that we “Radical Faeries” must burden our twinkly toes with giant black holes on our feet? Really, girls, LIGHTEN UP! How can we flit about airily with THOSE things holding us down? Those boots are the dead weight of the old world, honey. Time to cut those shackles and be free!
All in good fun and love! 😉 (Truth be told, I fully support the widest, freest expression possible! Whatever sets your spirit soaring – do it! ((as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else!)) And we all have the right to express ourselves by poking fun at you! 😉 )
Evannon, you are such a fashionista! You had me cracking up as you re-dressed the blue guy wearing fishnets. Wish I knew who he was, just a random fey being in need of your fashion advice. ;-P
Thank you for stopping by & – yes – all in good fun. 😀
