Fairy Rings

The weather was beautiful today! The sun came out and the rain went away. I got in two beautiful walks in the business park where I work (which is a lovely business park with low red-brick buildings; tall hedges; plantings of oaks, maples, cedars and Doug fir; and numerous ponds with walkways and lots of mallards and Canada geese).

Today, we saw several fairy rings.

And I happened to have my camera.

I also happened to have it accidentally set to take several shots rapidly (I hit buttons all the time and don’t realize I have done it. Usually, it is the timer and I find myself staring at this little timer counting off seconds until the shutter snaps)). Today I had it on rapid-fire and it went click-click-click.

Nancy said the little toadstools look like fairy houses.

I was just irritated that I had the settings wrong and I just snapped four photos in a row with just one press of the finger.

“Oh well,” I thought. “I will merely delete the ones I do not want tonight when I download them to my computer.”

I downloaded them and decided I couldn’t choose one to be my favorite. Amazing what you can capture when your shutter goes click-click-click-click.

Just amazing.

I hope you had a beautiful day, too.

Puck awaits just inside the gates of Faerieworlds.

Or perhaps it is Tinkerbell that teases your imagination and invites you to follow on a merry little adventure? I could be lured by Tink.

When she shines by day, the faeries come out to play!

Just make certain you do not tempt them to turn you into an arse…

What follows is a gallery of faeries: good, pensive, elated, tired, dreamy and beautiful.

Oh my! The Green Man! And a Very Pink Faerie!

Faeries in love and faeries dancing

Happy Happy Happy Faeries (and maybe just a tad bit flirty, too)!

Faeries are always dancing. Just take a walk on a moonlit night and glance into shafts of light: there they hover, just beyond your grasp.

I just love the bubbly, happy faeries! And, yes, that is a raven on her head. Doesn’t seem to bother her too much, though!

Dreamy faerie seems to have lost her wings.

There were a lot of horned faeries like this one. I think she is looking for Dreamy’s wings: she has that serious hunting expression on her face.

This Elf wandered into my viewfinder. She looked pensive. Obviously, she is on a Quest and has Journeyed for some time. I wish her luck on her journey!

It looks as if Night has come and the Stars are out. I bid you adieu this evening.

More faeries to come: Dancing Faeries, Hula Hoop Faeries (Faeries love the Hula Hoop), plain old Faeries, and… eventually: really BAD faeries (at least the ones I elect to put on the Internet!)

Good Night.
